1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Check My IP ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Check My IP is a free online utility that displays your public IPv4 and IPv6 address, together with approximate geolocation information (city, region, country, time zone, ISP and ASN) derived from that address. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without any account, subscription or payment required.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else's use of the Service. Prohibited uses include, but are not limited to:

  • Automated scraping, crawling, or sending excessive requests intended to overload the Service or its underlying third-party APIs.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its infrastructure, or any connected systems.
  • Using the Service to violate any applicable local, national or international law or regulation.
  • Using the Service to collect IP or location data about third parties for harassment, stalking, or any unlawful purpose.

4. Intellectual Property

The original design, layout, text and source code of Check My IP are the property of the site operator, unless otherwise noted, and are protected by applicable copyright laws. Third-party components used to build the Service — including Bootstrap, Bootstrap Icons and OpenStreetMap — remain the property of their respective owners and are used under their own open-source or usage licenses.

5. Third-Party Services and Data Accuracy

The Service relies on third-party APIs (including ip-api.com, ipify.org and OpenStreetMap) to detect and display IP and location information. We do not control these third-party services and cannot guarantee their availability, accuracy or completeness. Geolocation data derived from an IP address is approximate by nature and should never be relied upon for precise location, emergency response, security screening, or any legally significant decision.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely secure.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the site operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

8. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time. We may also update these Terms of Service from time to time; continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable at the site operator's place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence.
